Joyas de Panama Especial #1

This "Panamanian Jewel" was a sponsor of the Midwest cigar summit in Peopria, IL.  I was lucky enough to win these in a raffle and offer my opinions on this Panamanian puro.

On the prelight as well as the actual smoking of this cigar, there is a heavy tea flavor that overwhelms the senses, almost as an infused cigar would.  It transitions back and forth between chocolate and tea the entire time.  While there are definite floral notes and crisp herbal taste against the tongue, the finish is very mild so as to not taint the pallet.  Not much complexity, but good construction and unique experience factor give this a 7 out of 10.  I was truly surprised with this cigar and never would have thought tobacco from Panama could be this decent.
