We're betting that if you like the same cigars we do, you'll find this nuts and bolts scoring method helpful when choosing your next purchase. The scoring includes every attribute you can think of that a smoker goes through during their ritual. Appearance, construction, burn, aroma, flavor, complexity, finish, ash, even accompanying beverages, mood, and location. We will note any outside factors that could contribute to the experience positively or negatively, but will not allow them to change our overall score. Since nobody here is smoking drug store cigars, our scoring scale is for premium hand-rolled smokes only. To better understand our application of the scoring method, below is an example:
1-2 : Poor
Despite being hand-rolled, this is an unsmokeable cigar even if given to you for free.
3-4 : Sub Par
This cigar is less than decent only after your pallet is roasted and you're three sheets to the wind.
5-6 : Good
Your average yard 'gar or fair smoke for the windy golf course.
7-8 : Excellent
A go to smoke that won't disappoint when you need to relax and enjoy it
9 : Outstanding
and without question one of the best cigars on the market currently. This is the reason your humi has a lock on it.
10 : Epic
It simply doesn't get any better, and is perfect in every way. It's the reason aficionados are constantly looking out for new varieties and experimenting with aging techniques.
