My friend James gifted me some of these from his wedding night. While I haven't done any research to confirm, I'm told they run close to $200 per box. It starts off with a sweet taste on the cold draw due to the faintly sweetened cap which is unusual for a cigar that isn't infused. The taste is creamy, nutty, and reminds me of a Connecticut shade wrapper (perhaps a Gispert toro) but with amplified Dominican spiciness. This interesting smoke from the DR needed some touchoups along the way, but it could be that they are over humidified (they only rested one week prior to sampling). The taste remains pleasant all the way through and the finish is not too intrusive as to ruin dinner. While not complex, this is a nice mild to medium smoke that scores 7 out of 10.
